Srinagar, Oct 25 (KNS): National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday said that continued violence in Kashmir could lead to severe consequences.
“If they think they can achieve anything with this, they are only destroying themselves and us," Abdullah said while speaking to reporters, adding that such actions are detrimental to all Muslims and the broader community in Kashmir.
He expressed his dismay over continuous violent incidents and underscored the need for a peaceful resolution to prevent further harm to the region’s people and economy.
Drawing comparisons with international conflicts, Abdullah urged the parties involved to learn from regions like Ukraine, Syria, and Palestine, where ongoing violence has led to large-scale devastation.

Farooq also acknowledged the sacrifices made by security personnel and local citizens in Kashmir. He praised their resilience and vowed that such attacks would be faced head-on.
“Attacks will continue, we will continue to confront them. God willing, we will make their teeth sour,” Abdullah said.
He urged collaborative efforts toward peace, stating that any form of violence only hinders progress.
He expressed hope that stakeholders would consider the long-term impact on Kashmir and prioritize dialogue over conflict.(KNS)
