Water Scarcity Hits Several Villages in Mawer

Handwara, July 19 (KNS): Several villages in Mawer Handwara reported an acute shortage of drinking water on Friday, with residents claiming that the concerned department has not addressed the issue.
The affected residents stated that villages such as Shatgund Bala, Jahama, Gundrazak, Terina, Bagdaji Nowgam and several others have been without drinking water for the past four days, and their calls to the concerned department have gone unanswered.

Ahmad noted that their calls to the concerned department are still not being answered.
The locals expressed their frustration, stating they have no other option but to protest as they are left without any drinking water. They have urged the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara to address the matter urgently and direct the concerned department to restore the water supply to these areas.
