Ramban , April 21, 2025 (KNS) Senior BJP leader and MLA Padder-Nagseni Sunil Sharma on Monday assured that a comprehensive report on the damages caused by the recent natural calamity in Ramban district will be submitted to the central government for swift relief and rehabilitation of the affected families.
“We will submit a detailed report to Delhi for early relief to those affected. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have been informed and have shown deep concern for the situation here,” Sharma stated during his visit to flood-ravaged areas.
“The calamity has affected several families, with nearly 20-30 shops either completely damaged or missing. Many areas have witnessed severe land erosion, and even agricultural zones have been swept away,” Sharma said, adding that experts are already conducting ground assessments.
He emphasized that people now need confidence, strength, and immediate financial assistance. “This is not just a natural disaster, it's a humanitarian crisis. We expect the state government to coordinate with the Centre to ensure compensation and rehabilitation,” he said. (KNS)
