Says, preparing a note to take matter to the Cabinet
Srinagar, January 07 (KNS): Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, said the Jammu and Kashmir government has already constituted a committee to address the issue of daily wagers. He said the panel is actively working and assured that 2026 to 2027 will bring positive outcomes for regularization of Rehbar e Janglaat workers.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service, Rana said the issue of Rehbar e Janglaat is serious and long pending. He said more than 300 people are working under this category, yet their services have not been regularized so far, but through your medium i want to convey that year 2026-27 will be a year of good news.
He said similar challenges exist across several categories, including daily wagers, CP workers and others. He added that the government is handling all such matters with due seriousness.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Rana said a committee has already been set up to deal specifically with the issue of daily wagers and that its work is progressing. On Rehbar e Janglaat, he said the regularization process is expected to be completed soon. He said his department is preparing a detailed note to place the matter before the Cabinet.
Calling it a genuine issue, Rana said he has discussed it two to three times with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He said the Chief Minister personally sought detailed inputs on the matter. We are preparing a note to take this matter to the Cabinet? he said.
Through KNS, the minister conveyed a message of hope to daily wagers and workers in similar categories. He said the period from 2026 to 2027 will be a year of good news for them, he added.(KNS)
