Srinagar, June 08 (KNS): The Directorate of Ayush Bemina Srinagar organized a Yoga Festival, "YOGOTSAV," today under the theme "Yoga for Women Empowerment."
The event took place at the JK Police Public School Srinagar, under the chairmanship of Deputy Director Ayush Kashmir, Dr. Nuzhat Bashir, and the supervision of Dr. Roohi, State Yoga Trainer, Dr. M. Jamal Bhat, Medical Officer Ayush, and Dr. Rohail Jan, Medical Officer Ayush.
The festival aimed to provide a day of healing, learning, and yogic celebration. The event was also supported by Snigdha Singh, Principal of JKPPS Srinagar, and other PWWA members, including Pragati Pandey and Nikita.
Girl students of JKPPS participated enthusiastically, learning about various types of yoga, especially those beneficial for women. The guests highlighted the importance and benefits of yoga in daily life.
In her concluding speech, Principal Snigdha Singh emphasized that yoga promotes a healthy life and brings unity between mind and body, fostering harmony of thoughts.(KNS)
