Young IAS officers lead development agenda of LG Manoj Sinha-led UT Govt

Srinagar, Feb 06 (KNS): Under the vibrant leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, young Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers are spearheading the development agenda of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) government.
 
According to senior officials who spoke to news agency KNS, these officers, handpicked based on their performance and potential, are playing pivotal roles in driving transformative change across various sectors.
 
“From initiating developmental projects to prioritizing key agendas, these young IAS officers are instrumental in realizing the vision of a progressive and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha has recently delegated crucial responsibilities to a cadre of young and promising officers in the administration. This decision marks a significant shift towards injecting fresh perspectives and energy into key administrative roles across various departments in the region,” the officials said.
 
LG Manoj Sinha administration highlighted the importance of empowering young officers, stating, "Youthful energy combined with dedication and competence forms the cornerstone of effective governance. By entrusting significant responsibilities to young officers, we are not only providing them with opportunities to showcase their capabilities but also infusing new zeal into the administration."
 
The assigned responsibilities encompass a wide spectrum of crucial areas including infrastructure development, public service delivery, healthcare, education, and rural development among others.
 
These officers, handpicked based on their track record and potential, are poised to play instrumental roles in shaping policies, implementing initiatives, and driving sustainable progress in their respective domains.
 
According to another senior official who spoke to KNS, the government's approach in allocating postings to officers based on their performance underscores a clear message: deliver results or face consequences.

Recently Dr. Bilal Mohi ud Din Bhat, who took charge as the District Commissioner of Srinagar, wasted no time in initiating developmental projects in the city, reflecting the administration's proactive stance towards governance.
Similarly, Athar Aamir Khan, known for his role in Srinagar's Smart City transformation, assumed the position of District Commissioner of Kulgam, prioritizing various developmental agendas to uplift the region.
 
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, serving as the Administrative Secretary for the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, epitomizes dedication to teamwork and transparency, while Dr. Syed Abid Rashid, as the Administrative Secretary for Health and Medical Education, spearheads critical initiatives for the department's well-being.
 
Several other young officers hold pivotal positions contributing significantly to the development of their respective districts. Notable individuals include Mohammad Aijaz overseeing Planning Development and Monitoring, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar as CEO of J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency, Faz Lul Haseeb in DC Shopian, Basharat Qayoom in DC Pulwama, Akshay Labroo in DC Budgam, and Ayushi Sudan in DC Kupwara.
 
Owais Ahmad, serving as the Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and Shyambir, District Commissioner in Ganderbal, play crucial roles in local governance.
 
Owais Ahmad's dual role underscores the administration's dynamism in pushing forward initiatives for the betterment of Srinagar city, particularly emphasizing urban development and smart city initiatives.
 
Officials report notable advancements across various sectors in Jammu and Kashmir over the past three years under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha's leadership.
