Young Wushu Star Mahreen Banday Shines at National Stage with 12 Gold Medals

Handwara, April 9, (KNS): Mahreen Banday, a rising martial arts talent from Handwara, continues to bring pride to her hometown with her stellar achievements in Wushu. The young athlete has already bagged an impressive 12 gold and 3 silver medals in various prestigious championships held across India.

Her most recent triumph came at the 8th Wushu Federation Cup 2025, hosted in Chhattisgarh from March 25 to 27, where she secured a gold medal, further cementing her position as one of the country’s most promising Wushu players. Representing the Khelo India Centre, Handwara, Mahreen showcased unmatched skill, grit, and determination on the national stage.
