Jammu, Feb 10 (KNS): The Yuva Rajput Sabha staged a protest in Jammu, demanding the restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. The protest witnessed a strong gathering of youth, who voiced their concerns about the current administrative setup and the absence of local officers in key positions.
Speaking at the protest, the Sabha's president emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have the right to govern their own state. "The government has helped you, but today, we want to talk about the ongoing struggles. Many people are accusing us of using the name of ANC, but we want to make one thing clear—our fight is for justice," he said.
He further stated that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have not given up and will continue to demand their rights. "Whether it is BJP or ANC, this is the destiny of our people. Dogra youth have come to the streets to fight for their rights, as our Prime Minister once said," he added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The protesters highlighted economic hardships, claiming that businesses have shut down due to the prevailing situation. "People have taken loans and started businesses, but their shops are now closed. What can we do? We want our Jammu and Kashmir back," they said.
The Sabha strongly opposed the appointment of officers from outside Jammu and Kashmir, arguing that local officers should be given preference. "Dogra youth can go to any extent to demand their rights. Officers from outside are being posted here, but don't we have our own competent officers?" one of the protesters questioned.
The protest concluded with a firm call for the restoration of statehood, as demonstrators vowed to continue their movement until their demands are met. (KNS)
