Srinagar, Apr 10 (KNS): Political activist Zuhaib Yousuf Mir has urged National Conference vice-president and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to take a clear stand against the implementation of the Central Wakf Act in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a post on social media platform X, Mir said, “Dear @OmarAbdullah like Mamata Banerjee just say you won’t too allow Wakf Act to be implemented in J&K and you vehemently oppose it.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelCountry is looking for leadership from the only Muslim CM backed by almost 70% of the legislative assembly.”
Mir’s statement comes amid rising debate over the applicability of central laws in the region. He called upon Abdullah to show decisive leadership, similar to that demonstrated by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.(KNS)
