Srinagar October 1 (KNS): 10 days Exhibition cum sale of Handicrafts items embarked today on 15-10-23 at kashmir haat Srinagar which was inaugurated By CS I&C UT Govt of J&K in presence of Director Handlooms and Handicrafts Govt of J&K .
The event was also graced by Raja Rahail Assistant Director (Marketing) HSC Srinagar and Mohammad Rafiq Assistant Director ( Administration)HSC Srinagar.The event is being Sponsored by Office of the Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles Govt of India and implemented by Sabzar Social Welfare Society Magam.
GSB is being organized at various cities/metros in prominent places of the country to provide domestic marketing platform to artisans through out the country and to showcase their exquisite crafts creations traditional arts, and cultural heritage of country .
Nearly 100 artisan from all across the country are participating in this fair for demonstration and sale of their artefacts like Hand Printed Textiles, Wood carving, Jaipur Painting, Imitation Jewellery, Cane Bamboo, Terra Cotta, Leather, Wood ware, Grass Leaf Reed & Flower, Conch Shell, Embroidery & crochet, textiles, toy wooden Lacquerware, puppet, Kolhapuri Chappal, Batik Print, Carpet, Appliqué work, pottery, Lepcha textile etc.(KNS)
