AAC condoles demise of senior broadcaster Zahid Manzoor Sahab

 Srinagar, June 16(KNS): Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed grief over the demise of the renowned broadcaster and intellectual Mr Zahid Manzoor of Gogji Bagh Srinagar.

 
In a statement issued to the Kashmir News Service (KNS), the AAC on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq termed the demise as very sad and unfortunate and a great loss to his family , friends and the artists fraternity and paid tributes for his services to society through media. late Zahid Sahab was a very affectionate , lively and passionate person it said.
 
The AAC said that Mirwaiz could not attend the funeral prayers of the deceased due to his continued detention, which is extremely sad.
 
The organisation expressed heartfelt condolence and sympathy with the deceased’s brothers, Mr Niaz Manzoor, Mr Khalid Muzaffar, and his son, Mr Amaar Manzoor, and his brother-in-law Moulvi Shafaat Ahmed.
 
Late Zahid Manzoor was the son of Kashmir’s renowned intellectual, administrator, writer and poet Late Ghulam Mohammad Taoos, and also the brother-in-law of Moulvi Shafaat Ahmed, a member of the Mirwaiz family.
 
The Awami Action Committee (AAC) prayed to Allah Almighty for the forgiveness of the departed soul and Jannat-ul-Firdous to him, as well as special prayers for patience to the bereaved family, especially the children and relatives of the deceased.(KNS).
