At the request of JKSA, Punjab CM directed DBU to pay a fine of Rs.10 lakh to each student to compensate for trauma and dislocation

Srinagar September 20 (KNS)In response to a request and demand by the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association regarding assualt on Kashmiri students & the admission scandal at DBU Punjab, Punjab CM has directed Desh Bhagat University Punjab to pay a Rs. 10 Lac to each of the student who has been enrolled to compensate for the trauma and dislocation Which the students will have to face, Association National Convenor Nasir Khuehami has been informed by Chief Ministers Media Advisor Baltej Pannu. 

DBU will continue teaching the students who have been legitimately admitted as per INC norms in various nursing courses of the University. The DBU will not admit ant new student for any nursing course from now onwards. The DBU shall also provide complete record like attendance, results of the examinations undertaken, results of the practical undertaken, fees paid, security, etc which will be required by the colleges in which government will try it's best to accommodate them; reads the government order. 

 

Khuehami said that, DBU Owner, VC and management has been informed by the Chief Minister's office that they have committed a fraud on the students for which criminal action is being initiated against them separately. It is also made clear that DBU will have to deposit the fees for the current year, i.e; 3rd year, to the institutions where the students will have to be shifted, as would inevitably by demanded by the respective colleges.(KNS)
