Baramulla, Sep 23 (KNS): Baramulla Police on Wednesday conducted a special enforcement drive in the Tangmarg area following complaints and directions regarding harassment and overcharging of tourists and visitors by commercial passenger vehicles, including Sumos and autos.
During the drive, police seized six vehicles found involved in violations under relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Police said the action is part of its ongoing efforts to ensure safe, fair and hassle-free movement of tourists and visitors and to prevent practices that adversely affect the tourism environment.

Baramulla Police reiterated that harassment, overcharging and exploitation of tourists will not be tolerated, adding that enforcement against such violations will continue and strict action will be taken against violators.(KNS)
