Beerwah Residents Protest Against JKBOSE Office Merger

SRINAGAR, Mar 11(KNS): Residents of Beerwah, including students and concerned citizens, gathered in a peaceful protest today to oppose the merging of the local branch office of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) with the Sub Office in Magam.

They fear that this merger could negatively impact students in the area. "Our students could face significant challenges due to this decision. Having a local JKBOSE office is crucial for their academic progress," emphasized Bashir Ahmad, a resident participating in the protest.

During the demonstration, citizens appealed to the authorities to reconsider the merger order, stressing the importance of maintaining a dedicated branch office in Beerwah to address the unique educational needs of the local population.

"We urge the authorities to listen to our plea and preserve the accessibility and efficiency of educational services in our community," urged Irshad Ahmad, a Trade Union Leader.

The citizens of Beerwah now appeal and hope that their concerns will be taken seriously by the relevant authorities.(KNS).
