Srinagar Dec 12 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of the Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief over the demise of veteran party functionary Abdul Rahid Pandit of Malik Angan, Baba Demb Srinagar. 

The duo prayed for peace to the departed soul and much needed strength to the bereaved household to bear inconsolable loss. They also recalled the association of late Pandit sahib with Sher-e-Kashmir, Molana Masoodi, and Sheikh Nazir Sahib. 

Among others Party General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, kamal, Treasurer Shami Oberoi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani Sogami, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Shameema Firdous, Irfan Shah, Mir GM Saqi have also expressed sympathies with the bereaved household. 

Meanwhile Dr. Farooq Abdullah extended his sympathies with the bereaved household, particularly Er. Javed Pandit, son of the deceased, over a telephone call. (KNS)
