Election campaign heats up in Jmu, Kathua for first phase of Lok Sabha polls Ishtiyaq Kar

Srinagar, Apr 15 (KNS): With the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections drawing near, political leaders are intensifying their campaigning  efforts to rally support for their respective candidates in Jammu and Kashmir. 

As per reports, Union Home Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah is scheduled to address a rally at the Manhas Biradari Ground near Paloura, Jammu, aiming to bolster support for BJP candidates. Meanwhile, Sachin Pilot, a prominent figure in the Congress Party, is set to address a rally in Kathua on April 16, aiming to galvanize support for his party's candidates.
The Udhampur constituency is slated for polls on April 19, followed by the Jammu Lok Sabha seat on April 26. 
The upcoming rallies are expected to invigorate campaign momentum for the candidates, particularly in support  for the Udhampur and Jammu Parliamentary constituencies.
 
Adding to the election fervor, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a mega rally at Basohli in Kathua district today. Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had energized the campaign trail with their respective rallies in Udhampur and Kathua districts.
 
As the political landscape heats up, leaders from various parties are leaving no stone unturned to sway voters in their favor. With the first phase of elections looming, the race for support is in full swing, promising an intense and closely contested electoral battle.(KNS)
