Srinagar September 09 (KNS): Firdous Dramatic Club presented a sensitive theatrical expression on "Confession" in an ongoing festival at Tagore Hall Srinagar here on 4th September.

The play "Confession"  have a bold theme which suits with the present civil society very aptly, the search for meaning and ones own identity are the basic questions of this play.

Essentially' it revolves round two characters who are burdened by their importence. They seek refuge from it but the same creates a sense of guilt among them.

Moreover the same is obscured by certain principles of society as they can not go against those values.

Finally their conscience comes to their rescue and they confess their guilt with each other. It is written in a new technique of magical realism and perceptual illusion and has all the characteristics of post moder drama.

This play is written by Dr Sohan Kaul and directed by Hassan Javed.

The fine nuances of direction has added to play and became a success. Artists also performed well. Generally a commendable job done by Firdous dramatic club.

We need such plays to overcome our depression and disillusionment. The play was sponsored by Sangeet Natak Akademy.
