Srinagar, Nov 10 (KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar has said that authorities once again disallowed congregational prayers for 5th consecutive Friday, while Mirwaiz also remains under house detention.
In a statement, issued to KNS, Anjuman Auqaf said the detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also continued for the fifth consecutive Friday.
It said repeatedly disallowing Friday prayers at Jama Masjid and detaining the Mirwaiz is a highly regrettable and authoritative decision offends religious sentiments. (KNS)
