Govt. committed to take treatment, patient care at SKIMS to the highest level: Secretary H&ME Syed Abid Rashid

Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNS): Secretary Health & Medical Education J&K Syed Abid Rashid Monday said that government of UT Jammu and Kashmir is committed to take medical education, research, treatment and patient care at the prestigious Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura to the highest level.
 
He reiterated that SKIMS is one of the most renowned medical institutes in our country and government’s effort is to restore its pristine glory.
 
“SKIMS is one of the most renowned health institutes in our country. The exemplary patient care at the health centre is its history and legacy. This institute over the years has managed to save hundreds and thousands of precious lives. Government is endeavoring to restore its pristine glory,” Secretary Health & Medical Education J&K Syed Abid Rashid told Kashmir News Service (KNS) exclusively.
 
He said faculty, staff, paramedics, professionals and people associated with the health facility are resolute to make SKIMS a credible health institution and also a centre of excellence. 
 
“All of us are working very hard to that. Government is committed to make it sure that it (SKIMS) attains highest status that it should, in terms of wonderful centre of excellence for medical education, research, treatment and patient care,” Secretary H&ME J&K said. (KNS)
