Srinagar March 7 (KNS): Chairman Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaeen has felicitated people especially Kashmiri pandit community on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri known as “ Hierath ” in kashmir.
In a statement issued on Thursday Hakeem Yaseen while greeting people on Mahashivratri said that the auspicious occasion reinvogrates our bonds of mutual brother ,communal harmony and compassion for one another. He has urged the need for further cementing age old tradition of coexistence ,nieghbourhood , ,religious coherence and communal harmony against the backdrop of disturbing signs of religious intolerance and hatred orchestered mainly by vested interests. “ Some people want to shatter Indias rich ethos of religious coherence and unity in diversity for political gains , Hakeem Yaseen observed while cautioning the people to thwart such nefarious desigs for the overall good of Nation. He said “unity in diversity ” was the hallmark of Indian ethos which should ,in no case , be allowed to get swayed by fring elements and hatemongers .
PDF Chairmain maintained that the roots of brotherhood and religious harmony were so deeply infused in the blood of kashmiris that even the sponsored bloody violence in 1990s could not snatch the sacred thread of trust faith and love from the hearts of kashmiri muslims ,pandits ,sikhs and christians alike . “ we still live with the same warmth of love and respect as before adding that the “ Hierath” continues to keep these valuable traditions alight with each passing year , Hakeem Yaseen added.(KNS)
