J&K merged with Gandhi's India, not that one BJP, RSS want to make: Omar Abdullah

Kupwara, Sept 21 (KNS): Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday said that J&K merged with Gandhi's India, and not the India that BJP, RSS and Sangh Parivar want to make.

"The J&K has acceded to Gandhi's India. We opted to go with secular country. Not that India which BJP, RSS and Sangh Parivar want to make," Omar Abdullah as per KNS said while talking to reporters in Handwara.

He said wherever NC hold public meetings or congregations, people take part in large numbers. "NC is getting strong with the passing of every day. The decisions taken by BJP after roll back of 370 was solely aimed to weaken our foothold," he said.

He added in present circumstances the media is not allowed to speak the truth. "In past when we were in the government 9 out of 10 pages of newspaper were used to oppose us, however today 8 out of 10 pages are being used to praise Lieutenant Governor because our media institutions are dependent and they cannot walk against the tide," Omar said.
