Chandigarh, Oct 17 (KNS): Expressing his serious concern at the continuous illegal mining in Punjab, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today demanded that the concerned minister should be immediately sacked and a judicial inquiry should be done into the entire matter.
He said the AAP government in Punjab, which came to power in the name of change, has been cheating people of the state as all the mafias continued operating as they were doing in the past.
Chugh took strong exception to the reports stating that AAP MLAs have been patronizing illegal mining in the state. The matter needs thorough investigation, he said.
" The drug mafia, transport mafia, mining mafia have all been working in tandem under the protection of the AAP leaders, " Chugh said.
He also took exception to reports suggesting that the AAP government has been tapping phones of the Opposition leaders and demanded that such unethical practices must be stopped immediately. (KNS)
