MD NHM Reviews TB Elimination Program Implementation

Srinagar February 16 (KNS): Mission Director, NHM, J&K Nazim Zai Khan, IAS today chaired a meeting to review the status of Implementation of National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), Sub-National Certification Claims & Adult BGC Vaccination Trial in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

MD, NHM, J&K, directed all the Officers and Officials of Health Department to work diligently to achieve the Targets set for Elimination of Tuberculosis from the UT of Jammu & Kashmir by Year 2025 as per National Strategic Plan (NSP) 2017-2025.
 
Instructions were given for immediate procurement of pending lab equipments of Intermediate Reference Laboratory (IRL) of Jammu Division for making it operational at the earliest.
 
MD, NHM stressed upon conducting of external Death audit of TB patients and Contact Tracing of Active Pulmonary TB cases. Directions were given for mapping of all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs with Nikshay Portal for providing TB drugs as per the mandate of Central TB Division, MoHFW, GoI.
Discussing about the importance of Nikshay Poshan yojna the MD directed that the benefits under NPY be provided to all the beneficiaries without fail.
 
The meeting was attended by the Director Health Services Kashmir, Director Family Welfare & Immunisation, J&K, State Tuberculosis Officer Kashmir, State Immunisation Officer J&K. All Chief Medical Officers  along with District TB Officers and other Officers/Officials from NHM and Health Department also attended the meeting.(KNS)
