NHPC Workers Union Elects Abdul Hamid Lone as President in Bandipora

 Bandipora, August 08(KNS): The workers associated with National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) on Tuesday held their annual elections and elected Abdul Hamid Lone as President of the Union.

 
The voting of NHPC Workers Union of North Kashmir's Bandipora district was held at NHPC Office located in Bandipora. An official said the whole exercise was conducted under the supervision of Additional District Development Commissioner Afsar Ali Khan (JKAS) and Assistant Labour Commissioner Bandipora, Arif Mughal.
 
The workers and the officers of NHPC congratulated Malik for getting elected as the President. Workers hoped that the new President will work for welfare of the workers and will take measures to redress the long pending demands of the workers.
 
"With his vision and dedication, we anticipate a brighter path ahead, where our concerns are addressed and our collective well-being is prioritized," the workers said.
 
"This election heralds a new era of collaboration and progress for our union," Mr. Lone declared. "I assure you all that I will tirelessly strive for the welfare of our dedicated workforce and earnestly address the longstanding demands that deserve our attention," he added.
 
Abdul Ahad Rather elected as Vice president, Javid Ahmad Qureshi as General Secretary and Bashir Ahmad as Cashier.(KNS).
