Srinagar August 23(KNS): Senior NC leader and former Minister Ab Rahim Rather has asked district administration Budgam to make adequate arrangements for the weeklong annual urs of Hazrat Sultan Ali Aali Balki ( RA) bieng celeberated from August 29 at Pakherpra town.
In a statement issued on Wanesday Mr Rather has urged for ensuring round the clock power and drinking water supply in Pakhepora and adjcent area for convenience of the devotees. He said ,incase of any urgency , the generators should be kept available at the shrine complex. He said, apart from uninterrupted water supply, mobile tankers must be kept ready available to meet any exigency. The R&B Department should make necessary repairments and macedemisation of the roads leading to the shrine whereever required.
Rather has urged for ensuring street lighting in lanes and bi-lenes of the town besides illumination of the shrine complex.
Mr Rather has stressed for ensuring sufficient stocks and supply of ration and essential commodities including rice, atta, sugar, cooking gas and kerosene oil to the consumers during the Urs days.
He has also urged for activating market checking squards in Pakherpora to check illegal profiteering, hoarding and black marketting during Urs days.
Rather has called for ensuring adequate number of passenger vehicles including newly launched e-buses for hassle free transport facility to the visiting devotees.
“Passenger vehicles should be made available essentially from Anantnag , Pulwama, Shopian, Chadoora and Srinagar to Pakherpora and back for convenience of the devotees, Mr Rather added.
Cheif Medical officer Budgam and Block Medical Officer Pakherpora should set up additional first aid medical centers enroute Pakherpora during Urs days. He has asked the CEO ,Chrari- sharief Dev.Authority and concerned officers of urban local bodies to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in Pakherpora town so that the shrine premises was kept clean and garbage free.
Rather sb has extended his felicitation to people on the ensuing annual Urs of Hazrat Sultan Ali Aali Balki ( RA). He has eulogised the contribution of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Bulkhi in socio cultural and religious up bringing of the people of jammu and kashmir. He said Hazrat Ali Aali ( RA) has preached the message of righteousness ,piety, truth and purity of soul which bears deep imprints on the overall social life, irrespective of caste ,creed and colour.(KNS).
