Sadhotra pays obeisance at Bhagwan Shiv Mandir Karwanda, prays for universal peace

JAMMU AUGUST 17 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader and Former Minister Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today paid obeisance at Bhagwan Shiv Mandir Karwanda and prayed for universal peace, brotherhood and amity, the core of Sanatan Dharma.

Speaking to devotees, who had assembled in large number to offer special Pujas during the ongoing Shravan Month, Mr Sadhotra said devotion to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati brings peace and leads society to highest pinnacles of spiritual bliss. Mr Sadhotra exhorted people to imbibe the spirit of humanism, which is core of every religion, saying this will guide society to overcome hate, animosity and bitterness that is pivotal for making this world a better place to live in.

He said the glorious heritage and legacy of inclusiveness of our Country has to be sustained, strengthened and bequeathed to the posterity by spreading the divine message of love, compassion and righteousness. He also urged the devotees, present in the congregation, to spread the message of love, peace and compassion, which, he said is imperative for national integration and promoting inclusiveness across the country and in Jammu and Kashmir. He hoped that everyone will play a role towards growth of classless society based on social justice. He also called for promoting and sustaining the spirit of togetherness, saying the need for this has never been so important ever before than now when the society is gripped be hate, anger and tension. To overcome all these negative energies, one should submit before the Almighty and work for promoting the spirit of brotherhood.

Pandit Sonu Sharma Ji Shastri also addressed the congregation and emphasized upon the devotees to seek blessings of Bholenath and Maa Parvati, for peace and prosperity.
