Srinagar Aug 07 (KNS):  The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar on Monday said that restoration of statehood and special status to Jammu and Kashmir is critical for strengthening the country's unity and integrity.

Addressing functionaries at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar Sagar said that NC was committed to the sacred goal of reverting to the special status of J&K as it existed on 4th August 2019. We will continue fighting for our rights democratically, constitutionally and peacefully. Restoration of full statehood along with Articles 370 and 35-A is in the larger interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the country. It is aimed at unity, integrity, peace, progress and communal harmony. It is also imperative to safeguard the jobs and land of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the people of Jammu and Kashmir which is only possible with the restoration of the pre-August 5, 2019 situation,” he said.
