Tangmarg, Feb 19 (KNS) : Security has been tightened in Tangmarg town and the surrounding Gulmarg area in view of the Khelo India Winter Games scheduled to be held from February 23 to 26, officials said on Wednesday.

 

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), A high-level meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi, along with senior Army and paramilitary officials earleir this week in Gulmarg to review the security arrangements.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel 

 

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among various agencies to ensure the safety of athletes, officials and visitors.

 

Officials said adequate deployment has been made at key locations, including the main venues, entry and exit points and major roads.

 

Security forces also conducted thorough checks at the Temporary Check Post (TCP) Tangmarg on Thursday as part of the heightened vigil, they said. (KNS)
