Srinagar records Coldest Night of Season at -4.6°C

 Srinagar, Dec 09(KNS): The winter chill has intensified in various parts of Kashmir, marking the coldest night of the season in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, where the temperature dipped to a bone-chilling minus 4.6 degrees Celsius.

Sub-zero temperatures were registered across all monitoring stations. Qazigund witnessed a low of minus 2.8 degrees Celsius, while Gulmarg recorded a minimum temperature of minus 4.2 degrees Celsius.

Pahalgam, a renowned tourist destination, experienced frigid conditions with a temperature as low as minus 5.0 degrees Celsius. In north Kashmir's Kupwara, the mercury dropped to a minimum of minus 3.0 degrees Celsius.(KNS).
