Kupwara, Aug 25 (KNS): Eight students hailing from Education Zone Sogam were injured after a vehicle's tire burst in the Nutnusa area of Kupwara district on Friday.
Eye witnesses said that the incident transpired while the students were waiting for transportation during a zone-level sports event at Nutnusa. The sudden bursting of a vehicle's tire caught everyone off guard, causing injuries to multiple students present at the site.
The injured students, consisting of both boys and girls, were immediately rushed to GMC Hospital Handwara for prompt medical attention.
Medical authorities at GMC Hospital Handwara confirmed the occurrence of the accident and stated that all the injured students were currently under medical care. The Medical Superintendent of the hospital reassured that the students' condition was stable and that they were responding well to treatment. (KNS)
