Jammu, May 26 (KNS) : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the theatrical performance of Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar’s epic poem Rashmirathi, organized by the University of Jammu.

Paying tribute to the great poet, the LG said, “Dinkar is incomparable. His poems are timeless and each verse is dedicated to existence. Our ancestors and great warriors have voiced their feelings through his immortal words.”

He added that the performance was dedicated to the heroes of the Armed Forces, who demonstrated courage and sacrifice in their actions against terrorist threats.

“Rashmirathi symbolizes ancient values of righteousness and dharma, which remain highly relevant today,” he said.

The LG also lauded the Indian Armed Forces for their decisive Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, calling it a strong message to the terror-supporting nation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“I am proud of our youth who are upholding democratic values, protecting the nation’s sovereignty, and ensuring that Pakistan faces consequences for its misadventures,” he said.

He urged young people to serve the nation and contribute to India’s future by driving innovation and economic growth.

Special appreciation was given to the artists and students of Design Your Degree (SIIEDC), University of Jammu, for their captivating performance. The literary magazine Litzine, published by the University’s Literacy Club, was also released at the event.

The programme was attended by several dignitaries including University Vice Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellors of SKUAST Jammu and SMVDU, senior officials, literary personalities, and students.(KNS)
