Kupwara,May 25 (KNS) : The Awami Itihaad Party (AIP), after visiting several border villages in of Karnah and Chowkibal areas of district Kupwara affected by recent cross-border shelling, has called on the government to expedite rehabilitation for the displaced and suffering families.
Delegation was led by Abrar Rashid son of incarcerated MP Baramulla Er Rashid—was accompanied by senior AIP leaders Fayaz Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad Wani, Naseer Ahmad Mir, Aijaz Yousuf, Aijaz Ahmad Thakur, Syed Liyaqat, and Raja Waqar, surveyed the extensive damages in villages including Dildar Batpora, Terbuni, Dhani, Gabra, Hajinar, Baghbella, and Shamspora.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Residents expressed deep frustration over delays in relief and rehabilitation, with many families still struggling without proper assistance. The party also strongly appealed to insurance companies to honour their claims promptly, criticizing them for creating unnecessary hurdles and refusing payouts without clear justification.(KNS)
