Ramban, Sep 23 (KNS) Two police personnel were found dead inside a car in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district on Tuesday evening, officials said.
The bodies were recovered from a Fiat Linea car (JK-19/5299) at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area of Batote tehsil around 8:30 pm, they said.
Locals rushed the two unconscious policemen to District Hospital Ramban, where doctors declared them brought dead, officials said.
The deceased were identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed (408/Rbn), a resident of Bhatti Ramban, and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob (309/Rbn), a resident of Jatgali Ramban, they said.

Both were posted at District Police Lines (DPL), Ramban.
The bodies have been kept at the hospital for medico-legal formalities, officials said.
The exact cause and circumstances leading to their deaths were not immediately known, they said, adding that police have initiated further proceedings to ascertain the circumstances. (KNS)
