76th Republic Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervor in Tangdhar and Tithwal

Tangdhar Jan 27 (KNS): Tangdhar and Tithwal witnessed vibrant celebrations of the 76th Republic Day, marked by unity, pride, and patriotic enthusiasm. The day commenced with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Shakti Vijay Brigade War Memorial, where Brigadier S.K. Pradhan, VSM, Commander of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, honoured the sacrifices of the nation’s Bravehearts. In a symbolic gesture of community solidarity, a senior porter hoisted the National Flag at the Brigade Headquarters. Flag hoisting ceremonies also took place at various Battalion bases and Army Goodwill Schools in Hajinar and Tithwal.

The Karnah Bowl resonated with patriotic zeal as students and youth organized National Flag rallies across the region. A major highlight was the grand celebration at Azmat-e-Hind near the Line of Control in Tithwal, drawing a crowd of over 500 people including over 100 Ex Servicemen.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe event featured cultural performances by students from AGS Tithwal and Hajinar, showcasing a blend of patriotic themes and the region’s rich heritage, which captivated the audience.
This year’s festivities also included an impactful anti-drug campaign on social media. Of 80 participating students, 26 were recognized for their exceptional contributions. The campaign garnered over 1.5 lakh views, effectively raising awareness about drug abuse among the youth.
In his address, Brigadier Pradhan extended warm Republic Day greetings, urging the youth to excel in academics and follow their passions. He expressed gratitude to ex-servicemen and the local community for their unwavering support, highlighting their shared commitment to national progress and security.
