AIKS urges Govt to constitute Apex body for KPs issues.

Srinagar January 21 (KNS): All India Kashmiri Samaj ( AIKS) has urged Central and State Govts to constitute an apex committee to solve rehabilitation and other issues of Kashmiri Pandits. In a statement on the eve of 36th Exodus day while releasing the special issue of Naad magazine, AIKS president urged state and central govt to immediately form an apex committee to function & interact at state & centre regarding rehabilitation and relief of Kashmiri pandit community. A delegation headed by AIKS president Ravinder Pandita earlier met MoS PMO Dr. Jitender Singh and submitted a memorandum to this effect. The minister hailed the demand raised by AIKS and welcomed the idea of forming such a committee again that was disbanded in 2014 in last tenure of Omar Abdullah as CM.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

AIKS president while releasing the special issue of Naad commemorating 36th Exodus day of community reiterated that AIKS being the apex registered body of kashmiri pandits having affiliates pan India and abroad has to take the lead, in this direction. The last apex committee constituted by state Govt. was disbanded in 2014 and ever since then no such apex body has been constituted neither by State Govt. or Central Govt. President of AIKS has further demanded filling up of 2 assembly seats reserved for displaced community at an earliest.(KNS)
