AIP Holds Key Meeting Ahead of Bail Decision for Er Rashid, Reaffirms Commitment to Representing J&K’s Aspirations

 Baramulla, October 27(KNS): Awami Itihaad Party convened a meeting of constituency heads and district presidents in Baramulla today, discussed recent political developments and the challenges  on account of fallout of outcome of  bail judgement scheduled for tomorrow at Patiala House Court. The meeting served as a strategic assessment of AIP’s outreach and impact across Jammu and Kashmir.

Following the meeting, Er Rashid addressed a press conference, emphasizing that regardless of the court’s decision, his commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir remains steadfast. “Whether in Tihar Jail or outside, I will never be deterred from representing the sentiments and legitimate aspirations of the people,” he asserted. Er Rashid highlighted his outreach efforts during his time out on interim bail, covering not only the Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency but also parts of central and south Kashmir.

Er Rashid also expressed conditional support for Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, stating that he would back any initiatives beneficial to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged Omar Abdullah to fulfill his poll promises, including 1 lakh jobs, 200 free units of electricity and 12 free gas cylinders and questioned what Omar discussed with key national leaders, including the Prime Minister, Defence Minister and Home Minister.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe called on Omar Abdullah to clarify whether issues like the restoration of Article 370 and the release of political prisoners were part of those discussions and what responses were received.

Additionally, Er Rashid extended his gratitude to civil secretariat officers and district-level officials, praising their cooperation in review meetings and addressing public issues. He confirmed that the financial commitments he made during his visits and review sessions had been recommended to be released from the MPLADS fund and urged the administration to ensure swift implementation of these works.

Concluding his remarks, Er Rashid reassured the public that he, his team, and newly established AIP offices across Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency are dedicated to serving the people.

Er Rashid was joined by the party’s General Secretary Nazir Ahmad Khan, Chief Spokesperson, Inam Un Nabi, State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq and senior leaders including Adv. Javeed Hubbi, Tanveer Ahmad Dar  and Tahir Ahmad Mir.(KNS).
