AIP Slams Omar Abdullah’s “Misleading” Remarks on Baramulla Representation

Srinagar, Nov 9 (KNS) : On the last day of campaigning, Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi strongly castigated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statements on Baramulla’s parliamentary representation, calling them “misleading, desperate and an attempt to cover decades of NC’s failures.”

In a statement issued, Inam Un Nabi said that despite his incarceration, MP Er Rashid has delivered the highest financial packages for roads, developmental works and people-centric interventions in North Kashmir, outperforming all three NC MPs combined. “Omar Abdullah conveniently ignores the fact that Er Rashid is the elected representative of Baramulla and no manufactured narrative can erase the people’s mandate,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He added that Er Rashid embodies the true sentiments and aspirations of the people of Kashmir, something NC “could neither understand nor represent” for decades. Inam Un Nabi termed NC’s argument of sending Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan to the Rajya Sabha as a substitute for the Baramulla mandate “an insult to democracy and a poor cover-up for NC’s political irrelevance.”

“A party responsible for the 1987 rigging, repeated betrayals, and political suffocation of Kashmir has no moral ground to talk about representation,” he said, urging voters to reject NC’s diversionary tactics and stand firmly with AIP’s honest and people-driven politics.(KNS)
