Baramulla, 11 Dec (KNS)  A young woman’s dreams came to life as Alishba Bukhari celebrated the release of her first book, "Dreams Brutally Shared".

The event was a momentous occasion not just for Alishba but also for her family, friends, and the wider community who have supported her along the way.

The book launch drew several distinguished guests, including Irfan Hafeez Lone, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Wagoora Kreeri, who praised Alishba’s literary achievements. The MLA, representing Alishba’s constituency, expressed immense pride in her work and success.

“Alishba’s journey is an inspiration to us all,” MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone said during his speech. “We are proud to have such a determined and talented young woman from our constituency, and we will always support her in any way we can.” His words were met with cheers, underscoring the community’s admiration and pride in Alishba’s accomplishments.

Alishba’s path to becoming a published author has been shaped by both hardship and triumph. At 21 years old, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, having completed her 12th grade at Hanfia Model Higher Secondary School in Kreeri. Her academic journey reflects a deep love for literature — a passion she has nurtured despite the challenges life has thrown her way.

In 2013, when Alishba was just a child, she faced the profound loss of her father. This tragedy marked a turning point in her life but also ignited within her a desire to push forward and honor his memory through her perseverance.

“Losing my father at such a young age was devastating,” Alishba shared with a calm yet resolute tone. “But my mother has been my rock throughout this difficult time. She has been my constant source of strength, ensuring I never felt the absence of my father.”

Her mother’s support, both emotional and practical, helped Alishba find stability and direction in a world that suddenly seemed much harder to navigate. However, it wasn’t just her mother’s guidance that kept her moving forward — it was also the unwavering bond she shares with her siblings.

Alishba is blessed with four loving sisters and a brother, who have stood by her side through every hardship. Together, they form an unbreakable support system, a family unit built on love, trust, and the shared goal of uplifting one another.

“My siblings have taught me the importance of resilience and unity,” Alishba said, her voice tinged with gratitude. “My sisters, Saba and Benish, especially, have been my role models. They’ve shown me how to stay strong in the face of adversity and keep moving forward, no matter how tough things get.”

“I’ve learned that true relationships are built on love, shared experiences, and emotions, not just blood ties,” she reflected thoughtfully. “I cherish the few people in my life who have become my chosen family. They’ve given me the strength to keep going, even when I felt like giving up.”

The release of Dreams Brutally Shared represents the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and emotional growth. The book reflects Alishba’s personal journey — a story of dreams, struggles, and the brutal realities that often accompany the pursuit of those dreams. Alishba hopes that through her writing, others will find the courage to share their own stories and connect with the world meaningfully.

“I wrote this book to share my truth, to show that no matter what happens in life, we can still chase our dreams,” Alishba explained. “I want to inspire others to speak their truth and pursue their passions, even when it feels like the odds are against them.”

The book launch at DAK Bungalow was an emotional event for Alishba and her family. Surrounded by friends, well-wishers, and members of the community, Alishba took a moment to reflect on her journey.

The support she received from the people who matter most in her life — her family, friends, and community — has been invaluable in shaping the person she is today. “I could never have made it this far without the love and support of my family,” she said with conviction. “They’ve been there for me through every challenge, setback, and victory.”

As she embarks on this new chapter of her life, Alishba knows that this is just the beginning. Her book is only one step in her journey. With the encouragement of her community and the strength of her family behind her, she is ready to take on whatever comes next.

“The journey within has just begun,” she said, her eyes filled with determination. “This is only the start of what I hope will be a lifelong pursuit of writing and storytelling.”

Looking ahead, Alishba remains committed to using her writing as a platform for self-expression and empowerment. Her book, Dreams Brutally Shared, is a testament to her resilience, and through it, she hopes to inspire others to find their voice and share their own stories. With the unwavering support of her loved ones and the community, there is no doubt that Alishba Bukhari is destined for great things in the world of literature.(KNS)
