Srinagar, July 20 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Thursday said that all arrangements including security are in place for the holy month of Muharram, which has commenced from today.
Speaking to reporters, the DC Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad said all arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of religious activities during Muharram. "All arrangements including security are in place for Muharram," DC said.
He said arrangements from both logistic and security fronts have been ensured by the administration and if any thing is pending yet, that too will be done in coming times.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said, "I have visited several Imam Bargah's in Srinagar where I met community members and listened their grievances. They have been assured their demands will be resolved".
To a query, the DC said decision about carrying out procession from Guru Bazar to Dalgate is yet to be taken. "The decision is yet to be taken on the procession and will be shared accordingly," he added. (KNS)
