Altaf Bukhari demands action against Army officer for assaulting SpiceJet staff

Srinagar, August 4(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Monday condemned the reported assault on SpiceJet airline staff at Srinagar Airport, allegedly by a senior Army officer, and demanded strict legal action in the matter.

According to Bukhari, four SpiceJet employees were injured in the incident, with one staff member sustaining a spinal fracture and another suffering severe jaw injuries.

Bukhari described the incident as “utterly shocking” and called for the Army officer involved to be held accountable under the law of the land.

“The Army officer involved in assaulting SpiceJet staff members—gravely injuring four of them—must face the law.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSuch behaviour by a senior officer is unacceptable,” Bukhari said in a statement.

He expressed sympathies with the injured employees and wished them a speedy recovery.

“I trust that the law will take its course in this disturbing incident and that the perpetrator will receive exemplary punishment. My sympathies are with the injured airline employees, and I pray for their swift and complete recovery,” he added.(KNS).
