Srinagar, February 17 (KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed deep concern over the arrest of his party colleague, Waqar H. Bhatti, in Rajouri today. He has urged the authorities to intervene and ensure Bhatti’s immediate release.
In a statement issued here, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “I am deeply concerned to hear that the police have detained one of our prominent party leaders, Waqar H. Bhatti, today in Rajouri. He further said, “Bhatti is vocal in raising pressing public issues and grievances —an act that should be encouraged, not penalised, in a democratic nation. I urge the authorities to look into the matter and ensure Bhatti’s immediate release.”(KNS)
