Srinagar, Sept 23 (KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, along with several senior party colleagues, Wednwsday paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Dastgeer Sahib) at Khanyar, Srinagar.

The annual Urs of the revered saint is currently being observed at the shrine, where a special Shab is also scheduled to be held tonight.

On the occasion, Altaf Bukhari prayed for sustained peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir and for the well-being and prosperity of its people.

In a post on his X handle, he wrote: “Paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Dastageer Sahib) at Khanyar, Srinagar, where the annual Urs is being observed and a Shab is being held tonight.”

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari also hailed Waqf Chairperson Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi for her contribution towards improving the infrastructure and interiors of shrines across Jammu and Kashmir.

“It was heartening to witness the visible development and improvements carried out within the shrine premises,” he wrote.
“Such initiatives not only provide better facilities and a more comfortable experience for devotees, but also contribute to preserving and strengthening our rich spiritual and cultural heritage.

I must acknowledge the contribution of Waqf Chairperson Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi towards improving and developing shrines across Jammu and Kashmir,” Bukhari added.(KNS)
