Srinagar, June 30 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday described the annual Amarnath Yatra as a "people’s event," emphasizing that the local communities are playing a vital role in making the pilgrimage a successful and peaceful affair.
Speaking to the media, LG Sinha said, “The Amarnath Yatra is an event of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Everyone be it the administration, civil society, religious leaders, or the common citizens is making every effort to ensure its success, he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Lieutenant Governor also said that he had recently met with political leaders, civil society members, and religious figures, and noted a widespread sense of joy and readiness among the people.
“There is a visible sense of happiness and enthusiasm among the people with the commencement of the Yatra. It reflects the deep cultural and spiritual significance the event holds for Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.(KNS)
