Srinagar, Oct 15(KNS): Awani National Conference (ANC) on Sunday expressed grief over the demise of noted journalist Ghulam Nabi Khayal, a noted writer who passed away after a brief illness at his Sanat Nagar residence in the early hours of Sunday.
ANC President Khalidah Shah and vice president Muzaffar Shah expressed grief over his demise saying "We were deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Ghulam Nabi Khayal, a distinguished journalist, poet, and writer. His contributions to the literary and journalistic realms were remarkable, and his loss is truly a void that cannot be easily filled,"

They also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and forbearance for the family in this hour of grief.
Khayal, who was chief editor of weekly Voice of Kashmir was unwell from past several months and finally breathed his last today morning, close sources told. He has authored 30 books in Kashmiri, Urdu and English.(KNS).
