Karnah, November 20 (KNS): A fire caused by an electrical short circuit engulfed two houses in Ibkot village of Karnah Tehsil.

The Indian Army’s Shakti Vijay Brigade, with the help of local residents, contained the blaze, preventing further damage.

Despite the loss of two homes, swift action by the Army and villagers averted a larger disaster. The Army also provided ration supplies and administrative assistance to the affected families.

While the Civil Administration and PHE Department sent a water tanker, it arrived only after the fire had destroyed the houses.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

A fire ambulance also reached the scene but lacked water to extinguish the blaze.

Former sarpanch Abdul Rashid praised the efforts of the Indian Army and the PHE Department but criticized the fire service department for its delayed and ineffective response.(KNS).
