Srinagar, Feb 5 (KNS): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today termed the "arrest of 500 people across Kashmir valley" after retired soldiers killing unprecedented and harrasment.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz said: Reports in Indian express of massive detention across the Kashmir Valley of over 500 people taking place after the unfortunate killing of a retired serviceman, is unprecedented.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelEvery such killing and causing injury to innocents is condemnable, but to target and detain in hundreds family members and relatives of those associated with militancy, because of their relationship, is harassment."
" It vitiates the atmosphere and furthers hostility. Authorities should release these people immediately," he added.(KNS)
