Srinagar, Nov 12 (KNS) Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing a rally in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections, declared that Article 370, which previously granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, will never be reinstated. Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with eliminating terrorism and Naxalism across the country, and he emphasized that for the BJP, the unity of Kashmir with India is a priority over political gains.
Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his alliance with the National Conference, Shah declared that even "if [Gandhi's] fourth generation" seeks it, Article 370 will not be restored in Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFollowing its abrogation in 2019, he claimed, there has been a substantial decline in unrest in the Union Territory, citing a lack of stone-pelting incidents.
Shah also criticized the leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition for opposing BJP-led initiatives, including the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya, the abrogation of Article 370, and significant infrastructure projects. He accused the MVA of prioritizing populist financial promises, such as stipends for religious clerics, over developmental progress in the state. (KNS)
