Srinagar, Oct 25 (KNS): Renowned lawyer and track-2 diplomat Ashok Bhan is currently in Kashmir on a professional and personal visit, accompanied by his grandchildren.
During his stay, Bhan paid obeisance at several sacred sites, including the Kheer Bhawani temple, MANSBAL Shiv temple, Nandkeshewar temple on the banks of Jhelum in Sumbal, and Zethyar temple. In addition to his pilgrimage, Bhan reportedly held meetings with civil society members, legal professionals, and both mainstream and non-mainstream political leaders.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Sources indicate that Bhan is assessing the societal sentiment and security conditions on the ground, focusing on the potential return of displaced native Kashmiris, often referred to as "Gharwapsi." His visit also explores the implications of the recent polarized and regional election results in the region. (KNS)
