Srinagar, June 27 (KNS): Hundreds of aspirants of various posts of National Health Mission in Kupwara are up in arms against the Health Department for cancelling the ongoing recruitment process.
According to KNS correspondent, the office of Chief Medical Officer Kupwara had called for application for various posts including Junior Staff Nurse, ANM, Adolescent Health Counselor, Dialysis Technician and Junior Pharmacist on 14-2-2024.
However on 23-4-2024, Directorate of National Health Mission cancelled the recruitment and informed the CMO Kupwara via communication No. SHS/NHM/J&K/1022--10 67 Dated 22/04/2024.
With the subject of the letter as "cancellation of the all under process recruitment under NHM.", the letter reads: I am directed to refer the subject cited above. In this regard, it is submitted that as per the decision taken by the Executive Committee of the State health Society, NHM, J&K in its meeting dated:1 1-10-2022 , a committee of officers under the Chairmanship of Mission Director, NHM, J&K was constituted vide Order No. 838 - JK (HME) of 2022, dated 22-11-2022 to revise the ToR for hiring of manpower under NHM, J&K.
"After, holding series of meetings. discussions. deliberations as well as receiving feedback from the stakeholders, the Committee has prepared a draft Revised Selection Criteria /ToR which is proposed to be placed before the Executive Committee for ratification so as to ensure a uniform ToR/ Selection Criteria in tune with the latest directives of the Central as well as Government of UT of J&K,.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel" it added.
"As such, in order to avoid any ambiguity with regard to Selection Criteria/TOR. I am directed to request that all the pending recruitment processes initiated within your respective jurisdictions in which the selection is yet to be finalised, may be cancelled immediately and any subsequent recruitment under NFIM, J&K may be initiated only after finalisation of new ToR/Selection Criteria by the executive Committee of the State Health Society. Speaking to KNS, the aspirants of Kupwara for these posts said that they have been waiting for these positions for a long period, " but unfortunately recruitment was cancelled without even informing the candidates. We fail to understand when the recruitment was completed in other districts for same positions why only it was stalled in Kupwara only."
The demanded intervention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Secretary Health and NHM Director for resuming the recruitment process. (KNS)
