Assembly Elections in JK Set for September: Union Minister

Srinagar, Aug 05(KNS): Union Minister G Kishan Reddy announced that the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled for September. Speaking at a BJP rally marking the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, Reddy urged voters to support the BJP to sustain development and combat terrorism.

Reddy highlighted the significant reduction in activities by Pakistan and its intelligence agency, ISI, following the revocation of Article 370 by the Modi government. He warned Pakistan against supporting terrorism in the region.

Addressing the 'Ekatma Mahotsav' rally at Bana Singh Stadium in Jammu, Reddy, who also serves as the BJP's election in-charge for J&K, asserted that the upcoming elections are an opportunity for the people to choose between a BJP-led government focused on progress and opposition parties advocating for the reinstatement of Article 370, which he criticized for fostering terrorism and unrest.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He urged voters to reject the Congress and National Conference, suggesting that their return to power could lead to a resurgence of terrorism.(KNS)
